| Field notes | Stems solitary, non-climbing, to 5 m tall, 3 cm diameter. Sheaths brown with brown tomentum, with flat brown spines; petioles 60 cm long, rachis 1 m long with 33 pinnae per side, these regulary arranged and spreading in one plane.
