| Field notes | Stems clustered, 4 m tall, 4 cm diameter, brown. Leaves 11; sheaths 25 cm long with 20 cm long ocreas; petioles 132 cm long, spiny on the lower two thirds; blades 85 cm across, split into 28 segments, the middle one petiolulate. Monoecious palm, the inflorescences erect amongst the petioles, with to 7, branched partial inflorescences; fruits globose, red. V.N.: "la non" DNA specimen. |
