| Field notes | Rheophytic palm growing amongst rocks on the banks of the river. Stems clustered, forming tight clumps, 1.5 m tall, 3.7 cm diameter, green. Leaves stiffly erect; sheaths closed, green, 46 cm long, with ears at the apices; petioles 16 cm long; rachis 90 cm. long with 22 pinnae per side, these linear, regulary arranged and spreading in the same plane, folded over along the margins.
