| Field notes | Stems solitary, short and subterranean, 3,5 cm diameter. Leaves 9; sheaths green with brown tomentum, with scattered, yellowish spines; ocreas prominent, 5 cm long; knees absent; petioles 46 cm long, spiny as the sheath; rachis 64 cm long with 25 pinnae per side, these in distant clusters of 2-6 pinnae, the apical pair of pinnae joined for almost their entire length, all pinnae yellowish at the bases. Inflorescence pistillate, erect, 77 cm long, with 5 partial inflorescences. |
