| Field notes | Stems clustered, forming large clumps of many stems, to 3 m tall and 1.5 cm diameter, brown. Sheaths closed, green with reddish-brown scales; petioles 18 cm long, green; rachis 54 cm long with 4 broad pinnae per side. Inflorescences pendulous, infrafoliar; fruits ripening from green to yellow to red. |
