| Field notes | Stems clustered, 6 m tall, 3.5 cm diameter. Sheaths green but covered with brown tomentum and densely covered with flat, black spines; knees present; ocreas obscure; petioles 24 cm long; rachis 220 cm long with 39 pinnae per side, these closely and regularly arranged, spreading in the same plane; cirrus 80 cm long, Inflorescences covered with persistent bracts; fruits globose, orange. V.n. “may nuoc”. |
