| Field notes | Stems clustered, forming tight clumps, 1.5 m tall, 2 cm diameter, greenish-brown. Sheaths 28 cm long, not forming crownshafts, persisting and rotting on the stems, yellowish, with two ears at the apex; petioles 87 cm long; rachis 94 cm long with 12 pinnae per side. Inflorescences bursting through the persistent leaf sheaths. |
