| Field notes | Stems clustered, 25 m long, 3 cm diameter with sheaths. Sheaths green with whitish-brown tomentum, densely covered with reddish-brown spines; ocreas short; knees swollen; petioles 3 cm long; rachis 170 cm long with 20 pinnae per side, these in remote groups and spreading in different planes. Inflorescences 130 cm long, not flagellate, staminate. |
