| Field notes | Stems clustered, 20 m long, 3.5 cm diameter with sheaths. Sheaths green with reddish-brown tomentum, with oblique rings of yellowish-brown spines; knees absent; rachis 209 cm long with 26 pinnae per side, in clusters of 2-3, spreading in different planes; cirri 110 cm long. Staminate plant. Inflorescences 18, in axils of upper, reduced leaves, the longest 95 cm long, branched to 3 orders. |
