| Field notes | Lowland forest. Stems clustered, 10 m long, 3 cm diameter with sheaths. Sheaths green with brown tomentum, moderately covered with brown spines; rachis 134 cm long with 55 clustered pinnae per side, these spreading in different planes. Inflorescence flagellate, 2 m long. V.n. “may cat”. |
