| Field notes | Stems clustered, 25 m long, 3 cm diameter with sheaths. Sheaths of flowering stem with incomplete whorls of spines; petioles 15 cm long; rachis 172 cm long with 24 pinnae per side, these irregulary arranged and spreading in different planes; cirri 143 cm long. Inflorescences 11 at apex of stem, in axils of uppermost, reduced leaves. Fruits green, more or less globose, the individual scales hardly visible. |
