| Field notes | Stems clustered, 2,5 m tall, 2 cm diameter, reddish-brown. Leaves 5; shealths 29 cm long, yellowish-green; petioles 19 cm long; rachis 58 cm long with 7 pinnae per side (some plants seen here with simple leaves or with 3 broad pinnae per side). Inflorescences pendulous, infrafoliar; rachillae 4-5, triangular in cross-section; triads distichously arranged. v.n. “cau rung”. |
