| Field notes | Stems clustered, forming large groups of stems. Sheaths densely covered with short rows of reddish-brown spines; ocreas absent; knees absent; petioles 5 cm long; rachis 210 cm long with 26 irregulary arranged pinnae per side. Inflorescences terminal, staminate; rachillae 9 per inflorescence, to 75 cm long. V.n. “song” |
