| Field notes | Stems clustered, 2.5 m tall, 1.8 cm diameter, reddish, forming clumps of many stems. Leaves 5; sheaths 28 cm long, mottled reddish-brown, with two ear-shaped ocreas at the apex; petioles 33 cm long; rachis 43-74 cm long with 9-12 pinnae per side. Inflorescences pendulous; rachillae 3-4, triangular in cross-section; triads distichously arranged. V.n. “ling lang” Thai language. |
