| Field notes | Lowland forest on limestone. Stems solitary, 35 m long, 5 cm diameter with leaf sheaths yellowish-green, densely covered with downward pointing, yellowish spines; knees swollen, ocreas obscure; petioles 25 cm long, densely spiny on upper surface; rachis 330 cm long with 32 pinnae per side, irregularly arranged and spreading in different planes; cirrus 126 cm long. Pistillate inflorescences pendulous, not flagellate, with 10 partial inflorescences; rachillae to 10 cm long. V.n. “song”. |
