| Field notes | Stems solitary, 4 m long, 3 cm diameter, brown. Leaves 9; sheaths 26 cm long, closed and forming a swollen, yellowish-red crownshaft; petioles 43 cm long; rachis 94 cm long with 16 regularly arranged pinnae per side. Inflorescences infrafoliar, erect; rachillae yellow at anthesis, becoming red in fruit. V.n. “ cau nui”. |
