| Field notes | Stems solitary, 30 m long, 3 cm diameter with sheaths. Sheaths mottled brownish-green, with flat spines; ocreas obscure; knees prominent; flagella absent; petioles 15 cm long; rachis 142 cm long with 13-16 pinnae per side, these borne in remote clusters of 2 pinnae; cirri 95 cm long. Inflorescences pistillate; rachillae 9-10 cm long, zig-zag. DNA specimen. Produces an useful cane. V.n.”song ma” |
