| Field notes | Massive rattan with clustered stems, forming large clumps, with shoots emerging from older stems and these sometimes rooting where they touch the ground, fruiting stem 20 m long, 10 cm diameter with leaf sheaths. sheaths reddish-brown, densely covered with groups or short rows of yellowish spines; no knee; no ocrea; petioles 10 cm long; rachis 200 cm long; pinnae 40 per side of rachis, clustered in groups and spreading in different planes; cirrus present. Inflorescences terminal; 9-10 per inflorescence, pendulous, to 60 cm long. Occurring at higher elevations than AH 3275 (which is common at lower elevations), but both species occurring together here.
