| Field notes | Massive rattan with solitary stem 50 m long and 17 cm diameter, with the leaf sheaths. Sheaths gray-green, whitish tomentose at the base, not spiny except for small groups of spines along sheath margins and below petiole; no knee; no ocrea; petioles 12 cm long; rachis 610 cm long; pinnae 64 per side of rachis, clustered in groups of 2-5 and spreading in different planes; cirrus 250 cm long. Inflorescences terminal, 13 at stem apex; rachillae 11 per inflorescence, pendulous, to 104 cm long. DNA specimen. v.n. “song voi” |
