| Field notes | Stems clustered, 10 m tall, 1.3 cm diameter with shealths. Shealths green, without tomentum, densely covered with reddish-brown, needle-like spines; ocreas short, densely spiny with longer, reddish spines; knee present; flagellum 1 m long; petiole 15 cm long; rachis 25 cm long with 6 clustered pinnae per side, the apical pair joined at their bases. Inflorescences 104 cm long, flagellate. DNA specimen. v.n. “may cam tre” |
