| Field notes | Stems clustered, 4 m tall, 4 cm diameter. Sheaths green with reddish-brown tomentum, with flattened, yellowish-brown spines; knees present; ocreas present, to 3 cm long; petioles 21 cm long; rachis 157 cm long with 41 pinnae per side, these slightly irregularly arranged, spreading in the same plane; cirrus 90 cm long. Slightly different from same(?) species at Phong Nga-Ke Ban NP in the longer ocreas and longer spines at sheath apices. V.n. “may nuoc). |
