| Field notes | Stem solitary, 6 m tall, 17 cm diam, covered with persistent spiny leaf bases and with many epiphytes. Leaves 9; sheath 1.2 m long; petiole 1.26 m long; rachis 4.9 m long, spiny abaxially; pinnae 101-106 perside. Prophyll 75 cm long, densely brown tomentose; peduncle 1 m long; peduncular bract inserted half way up peduncle; rachis 50 cm long; fruits 1-3 per rachillae |
