| Field notes | Trunk about 15m high 0.23m in circumference. Leaf sheath 83cm long, petiole 21cm blade 4m, with about 98 pair of pinnae. Length of infructescence 1.15m. Spathe 58cm long. Trunk, sheaths, petiole, rachis and penduncle armed with flattened spines. Common in evergreen forest. |
