| Field notes | Cultivated. Seeds originally collected by the Pahang Endau Rompin Expedition 9/10- 85. No.25899. I seriously doubt that this is really L. endauensis. The segments of the leaf, consisting of more than one fold, looks more like Livistona Saribus (Lour.) A. Chev. Solitary palm, stem about 50 cm tall. Covered with persistent leafbases. Number of leaves about 20. Leaf base and sheath fibrous, dark brown. Petiole 150-200 cm long, dark green, armed with long spines along the entire margin. Blade divided by deep splits almost to the base by compound segments of 3-4 folds. Further divided by shallow splits into singlefold segments. Each fold split into two 10-20 cm long hanging laciniae. Length from tip to base of blade 55-65 cm at the outer segment, 130 cm at the midblade segment. |
