| Field notes | Solitary palm, about 15 m tall. Stem diameter ca. 25 cm. Leaves in crown ca. 50. Leaf bases and sheath fibrous, brown. Petiole green, 150 cm long, triangular in cross section, armed along the margins. Blade regularly split into single fold segments. Length of lamina from tip to base 55 cm (outer segment) to 110 cm (middle segment). Folds split at tip into two short laciniae. |
