| Field notes | Terrestrial herb in dense clump. Leafy shoot to 1.2 m long. Base swollen to 4 cm diam., reddish brown. Sheath yellow-green when fresh, drying pale brown. Ligule 1. 2 cm long. Petiole to 1 cm long. Lamina to 47 x 6.5scm, base attenuate, pubescent beneath. Inflorescence terminal, erect. Spike to 6 cm long. Cincinni dense. Inflorescence bracts pale green, transparent, dehiscent. Calyx pale reddish brown. Corolla pale red. Labellum pale yellow. Stamen yellowish green. Young fruit green. Deposited at: AAU, BO, CEB, E, SING. Photographed. Material in spirit. DNA sampled. |
