| Field notes | Terrestrial herb in dense clump. Leafy shoot to 1.5 m long. Base to 2 cm diam., red. Sheath brown when dead. Ligule to 8 mm long. Petiole to 6 mm long. Lamina to 40 x 4 cm, mid-green, pale green beneath; dark brown near margin. Inflorescence subterminal, 8-12 cm long, axis pale yellow-green. Bract, calyx and corolla pale red. Labellum pale yellow. Filament white, anther pale yellow. Deposited at: AAU, BO, CEB, E, SING. Photographed. Material in spirit. DNA sampled. |
