| Field notes | Terrestial herb. Leafy shoot including leaves to 60 cm. Base red. Sheath green. Lamina plicate. Corolla tube cream; lobes and staminoides pale rose. Labellum white with 2 red-dotted bands in throat, pink towards apex. Stamen and stigma white. Vernacular name: temu kunci. Uses: none known but may have been introduced by Javanese who use it as a spice. |
