| Field notes | Terrestial herb in loose clump (> 20 cm between shoots). Leafy shoots to 4.2 m long. Sheath yellow-green. Ligule to 10 mm long. Lamina sessile, to 45 x 15 cm, ovate, slightly plicate. Inflorescence terminal, pendent, to 22 cm long. Rachis pale green. Ovary and calyx red. Corolla pale red. Labellum cream. Stamen cream, margin of thecae red. Vernacular name: asi (Yalu language). Material in spirit. DNA sampled. |
