| Field notes | Terrestial herb in loose clump. Leafy shoot to 1.15 m long. Base to 1.5 cm diam. Sheath yellow-green. Ligule 15 mm long, swollen. Lamina to 24 x 4 cm, dark green. Inflorescence terminal, distichous. Old bracteoles greyish brown. Flowers plain white. Fruit to 16 x 16 mm, pale yellow-green when young going - white when mature. |
