| Field notes | Terrestial herb raised to 4-24 cm above ground by stil roots. Leafy shoot to 80 cm long. Base to 1 cm diam. Sheath tessilate. Ligule to 5 mm long, brown. Lamina to 18 x 4.3 cm. Inflorescence from rhizome, to 6 cm long. Peduncle to 2 cm long, scales pale brown. Spike to 3 x 2.5 cm. Receptacle 4 mm long, yellow. Bracts mucronate, reddish. Bracteole pale brownish red. Calyx pink. Corolla (incl. lobes) pale red. Labellum and stamen red. Stigma dark red. Also seen at 1700 m. Same species as Poulsen 2647. Material in spirit. DNA smapled. |
