Field notes Terrestrial herb in dense clump. Leafy shoot with 2 leaves. Petiole to 125 cm, green. Pulvinus to 6 cm, yellowish brown. Lamina to 66 x 16 cm, plicate. Inflorescence arising from node on petiole to c. 90 from base, branching at second node. Bracts pale brown, sometimes in young inflorescences the inflorescence is held tightly with the petiole. Flower cream. Fruit pale green to brown, opening in 3 parts. Photographed. Material in spirit. DNA sampled.
