| Field notes | Terrestial herb, 2.5 m tall, in clump of many shoots. Base to 5 cm diam., tinged red. Sheath green. Ligule to 15 mm. Petiole to 11 cm. Lamina to 90 x 13 cm, pubescent beneath. Inflorescence terminal, erect. Bracteoles and corolla lobes white. Labellum yellow, red in centre and throat. Anther and stigma pale yellow. Fruit globose c. 2.5 cm diam., densely pubescent, red. Vernacular name unknown to informant. Possibly because it has been recently introduced. |
