Terrestrial herb in clump. Leafy shoot with 3–4 leaves. Lower sheath and petiole yellow-green, to 1.4 m long. Pulvinus 8–9.5 cm. Lamna to 95 x 39 cm. Inflorescence central. Flower cream, tinged slightly yellow. Fruit bluish green. Vernacular name: ra magahe (Bauro language, Mamarego dialect; magahe means useless; taboo plant: caused headache if cut but can be used as magic plant against migraine). Photographed. Material in spirit. DNA sampled.
