| Field notes | Terrestrial herb in dense clump. Stilt roots 20-40 cm. Leafy shoot to 2 m. Base 4 cm diam. Sheath yellow-green. Ligule unilobed, to 1 cm, yellow-green tinged brown. Petiole to 2 cm with callus at base. Lamina to 75 x 13 cm, slightly plicate, dark green. Inflorescence at base of leafy shoot, erect. Bracts yellow-green when young; later brown. Corolla yellow, lobes red. Labellum yellow, lateral lobes with fine red lines inside. Stamen and stigma yellow. Fruit smooth, pale brown. Deposited at: BKF, AAU, BK, E. Material in spirit.
