Field notes Terrestrial herb to c. 6 m. Rhizome long-creeping, 2-(4) cm diam. Leafy shoot with up to 30 leaves. Base 6-8 cm across. Sheath greenish, ligule 1.5-2 cm, purplish near top of shoot. Petiole to 1.5 cm. Lamina plain green, glabrous, base ± unequal, to 95 x 16 cm. Inflorescence with 22 flowers, to 60 cm from base of leafy shoot, 10 cm long of which peduncle 4-7 cm. Peduncular bracts cream, bracts cream to pale brown, old flower with yellow margin. Infructescence 7 cm diam. Crushed leaf smell slightly of Pinus. Deposited at: AAU, BKF, E (including material in spirit)
