| Field notes | Terrestrial herb to 2.5 m. Same population as Poulsen 2188. Inflorescence short or erect to 50 cm. Bracts reddish-brown, fertile bracts pinkish red with prominent ciliate margin. Calyx pinkish to orange-pink at apex, 3 tips, pointed and spreading. Petal lobes yellow. Labellum deep red, lateral lobes involute, pale rose, margins almost white. Filament pale red, anther purple red. Stigma deep red. Vernacular name: tubu kerinang (Lun Dayeh). Taste fresh cabbage-like, pleasant. Material in spirit. |
