| Field notes | Terrestial herb, 1.2 m, in clump, 2-3leaves per shoot. Leaves obovate to 50 by 18 cm, plicate. Inflorescence from base, to 23 cm long, erect. Basal bracts brown, peduncle green, fertile bracts pale reddish brown, containing water. Flowers white with central yellow, 2 per bract. Material also preserved in spirit. Photographed. |
