| Field notes | Terrestrial herb, 3 m, in loose clump. Base with conspicuous reticulation, green. Ligule 1.5-2 cm, green. Petiole 2 cm. Lamina to 70 by 18, plicate, pubescent below. Vernacular name (Sunda language): tepus sigung. Used to chase insects away in rice fields. Fruit is edible. The base has a strong taste and smell. Deposited at: BO, AAU. |
