| Field notes | Terrestial herb less than 0.5 m, in cluster. 2-5 leaves per shoot, base and sheath red, petiole canaliculate, to 13 cm. Lamina to 17 by 9 cm, asymmetric, slightly plicate, +/- reddish below. Inflorescence lateral, 14-16 cm, bracts purple-red, corolla tube white, petal lobes translucent pale, labellum white, with a red horseshoe-shaped patch with a yellow tinge apically. Staminodes white with a red dot basally, stamen white (with a tinge of pink). Infrutescence with 3 fruits, greenish to whitish. Material also preserved in spirit. |
