| Field notes | Terrestrial herb to 5 m, in loose clump.Sheath greenish. Petiole 2 cm, base truncate-auriculate, ±reddish below, to 68 by 12.5 cm. Peduncle erect, to 60 cm, green. young inflorescence cream-yellow. 56 flowers per inflorescence. Bracts reddish, not lasting. Fertile bract red, bracteole, short, reddish, membranous; clayx red with white tips, petal lobes red; labellum with yellow margin on central lobe, apex irregular, lateral lobes incurved, whitish. Anther dark red, stigma pale red. Vernacular name: tekalo umring (Passir language). Material in spirit. |
