| Field notes | Terrestrial herb to 2.5 m. Spreading in small stream bed. Base reticulate, ligule membranous, dehiscent. Leaves of collected plant green but other were red below. Inflorescence erect, from near base. Bracts cream, tinged reddish near tip. Calyx pale brownish red: Corolla lobe dark red. Labellum yellow, central lobe rod-shaped, yellow with red bifid tip, lateral lobes red. Anther and stigma pale red. Vernacular name: tubu kerinang (Lun Dayeh): center of shoot edible. Almost tasteless. Material in spirit. |
