| Field notes | Terrestrial herb to 4 m. Rhizome long-creeping, 1.7 cm. Base swollen to 6 cm diam. Lamina to 70 by 11 cm., purple below with nice smell. Inflorescence with 18–20 flowers. Bracts dark brownish red. Petal lobes red, especially towards the tip. Labellum pink with a frilly, inrolled margin. Anther dark red. Stigma pale red. Material in spirit. |
