| Field notes | Terrestrial herb, 3–4 m. Rhizome long-creeping. Base yellowish, swollen ca 5 cm. Sheath orange-yellow, ligule less than 1 cm, pubescent. Lamina sessile, plain green with a pale mid groove. Inflorescence from rhizome near base, with 26–28–32 flowers. Bracts bright red, petals bright red, labellum red, lateral lobe margin white 1-1.5 mm, dark purple patch centrally in front of stigma. Filament and anther pale red, flustered darker towards the tip. Stigma dark purple. Material in spirit. |
