| Field notes | Terrestrial herb to 0.8 m. Distal tubers 14 cm from base: 2.5 cm by 1 cm. Leaves clearly distichous, 9-14 per shoot. Petiole to 20-65 cm; lamina (23)-55 cm by (7)-11 cm. Inflorescence branched, appearing between the base of the youngest leaves, to 15 cm, bracts cream, clayx burgundy brown, petals cream, labellum brown - almost black. Fruit tenui-shaped, splits in three when mature.. Material also perserved in spirit. |
