| Field notes | "Stout, terrestrial herb 4 m, in clump. Leaves 10-12 per shoot, clustered in top; sheath massive, yellow-green; lamina 1.5 m by 25 cm, plain green, with pale midrib groove, apparent veins, below silvery pale. Inflorescence appearing 1 m from base, to 1 m long, slimy, with pale red bracts towards apex (not persisting). Flowering and fruiting simultaneously, flower pale yellow, fruit brown. Deposited at: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, SAR, AAU. Material also preserved in spirit. Photographed. " |
