| Field notes | Terrestrial herb less than 0.5 m, in clump. Rhizome branching. 4-9 leaves per shoot. Sheath loose, connected for 1/3 of its length, broad, orange-brown. Ligule brown, dead. Lamina sometimes purple below - otherwise pale green. Bracts reddish brown, 10 more flowers per inflorescence, flowers orange, anther crest orange, tip of anther pale yellow. Vernacular name in Iban: entemu kumang. Deposited at: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, SAR, AAU. Material also preserved in spirit. Photographed. |
