Identification qualifier  
Field notes Terrestrial herb less than 0.4 m, in loose clump. Base green or red. (4)-7-8-(12) leaves per shoot. Sheaths forming a stem at base of 5-8 cm. Upper part of sheath spreading to a fan-shape. Ligule membranous, dehiscent; petiole canaliculate; lamina plain green, pale below, base cuneate to slightly auriculate, ±unequal, margin undulating. 8 flowers per inflorescence. Inflorescence surrounded by the leafy sheaths so that flowers appear at top of shoot. Flowers (all parts) pale orange; labellum ±emarginate. Labellum, staminodes and anther with glandular hairs. Stigma almost sessile. Fruit white. Deposited at: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, SAR, AAU, L. Material also preserved in spirit. Photographed. "
