| Field notes | "Terrestrial herb to 2.5 m. Rhizome long-creeping, scales red when exposed. Base swollen 5 cm, somewhat stilt-rooted. Sheath ±pubescent, green; ligule pubescent greenish brown. Lamina dark green, with yellow-green midrib groove above; below purple ±velvety. Inflorescence 8 cm with short peduncle (2-3 cm). Bracts red, labellum with yellow line. Taste sour. Deposited at: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, SAR, AAU, L. Material also preserved in spirit. Photographed. " |
