| Field notes | Terrestrial herb 4-5 m, in loose clump, not stilted. Base swollen, subglobular, 4-7 cm across. Sheath green, petiole 1.5 cm, lamina plain green, pale below. Inflorescence c. 15 cm from base. Bracts dark red with white reticulation basally. Petals pinkish red. Labellum pink with white margin laterally. Stamen white with pink crest, style pink, stigma dark purple. Vernacular name (Lun Bawan): teladan. Informed by Labo Balang Gukang. Deposited at: Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, SAR, AAU. Material also preserved in spirit. |
